Asset Creation
Modeled a set of stylized arrows, architectural columns, and cloud elements designed to match the perspective and lighting of the photographed scene. Assets were optimized for fast iteration and multiple render passes.
Procedural Destruction (Houdini)
Developed a procedural fracture system to generate broken background columns.
Used custom constraints and controlled simulations to achieve believable weight, scale, and debris distribution while keeping art direction flexibility.
Volumetric Clouds
Built procedural cloud shapes using Houdini volumes, including heart-shaped formations.
The setup allowed fast silhouette control and lighting adjustments to match the mood of the photograph.
Rendering & Integration
Rendered multi-pass outputs (beauty, shadows, AO, mattes, depth) to allow accurate compositing.
Special care was taken to match lens distortion, grain, and color response to the original photo.
Compositing Breakdown
Integrated all elements into the final image using layered compositing.
Provided full layer breakdowns to maintain flexibility for the photographer during final adjustments.
